Weekly Homeschool Wrap-up: Our last week of break
Well, as most of you know our summer schedule has been shot all to heck! With me being sick most of May and June it kinda blew things outta the water. And this past week we’ve been getting the house back in a working order, with the help of The Hubster (who returns to work tonight – BOO!). It’s been so wonderful having him home while I was recovering and getting my strength back. I’m still not 100% more like 95% most of the time. But, I’m getting stronger each day and that feels great.
Today and tomorrow will be spent making sure all our papers are copied and in the proper folders for the next 9 weeks. Updating my lesson plans to reflect our new schedule (since we missed the month of June).
School starts back up for us on Monday and I’m so excited!!! I’m excited to get us back into a routine and get “back on track” with our learning. I think it will really help my Middles with their crankiness – or at least that’s what I’m hoping!!
Even though we haven’t been “schooling” the past few weeks/month, I have still been reading my emails, doing research and finding new resources. My new favorite resource is:
I “lucked” onto this new resource. Okay…we all know I don’t believe in luck. I believe God puts people and things in our path on purpose. Sometimes with bold, blinking NEONsigns to get our attention even!! What was I saying??? Oh yes…how I came across this new wonderful resource. I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Raising Arrows, and she featured Stef. Stef blogs at Educating Laytons and has started this new link-up on Tuesdays. I think I’m going to be visiting her a lot!!!!
How’s your summer going? Feel free to share you favorite experiment, tip, idea or just a word of encouragement for others!!
Blessings,
Annette

Thanks for linking up! The Tactile Tuesday linkup is a good resource
Glad to hear you’re feeling better, and getting back into routine!
I’m so very excited for this new link up!!! This is THE area I struggle in the most! I am such a book/paper learner that this is a real stretch. I hope it gives me some inspiration and great tips for our schooling!! Thanks for hosting! And I am so happy to be feeling better and getting back to a “normal” routine.
Blessings,
Annette
