I realize that most of you had no idea what was going on in our crazy world here. So, let me catch you up!!
The past 7 days have NOT gone as I would have planned. As I mentioned several weeks ago I have been struggling with a Crohn’s flair up. Well, it seemed to rear its ugly head again last Friday. I once again found myself doubled up in pain, which landed me in the ER again. This time, I spent all day undergoing tests and getting some relief with medication. Just when we thought I was going home, they came in to tell me a bed was ready and they were just waiting on transport! WHAT?!?! Yep, they admitted me for pain control and further observation.
Since last Friday I have eaten exactly 4 meals (including today). I have one more test tomorrow, which required I be on a clear liquid diet again. I was on a clear liquid diet Friday (mostly had ice chips) – Wednesday lunch. I am pretty sure that after tomorrow’s test I won’t be eating Jell-O for quite a while!! No matter what pretty color someone makes it! LOL
I am finally home and “on-the-mend” as they say. I am so thankful to have a godly, loving, caring and most of all AMAZING husband who has tirelessly stayed home with our 4 wonderful crazy and wild kids!! I walked in the house late last night and saw toys picked up, laundry folded, the kitchen clean and dishes done!! NOW THAT’S A MAN!!!!! I am sure over the next few weeks I will have some deep spiritual reflections on what God has taught me these past few weeks, but for now…I’m just going to take it easy and catch up with my family (and some food…tomorrow)!
